The first style to be produced by Sambourne, Traditional Units come with distinctive panel moulding. They are seen on antique furniture, especially Victorian pine.

Originally applied separately to the door panel, nowadays modern methods allow this moulding to be integral to the door frame, enabling a stronger construction.

Traditional units

The term “Shaker” originates from the religious movement of 19th century North America. Shaker furniture is renowned for its simplicity, innovative joinery and functionality. Our range aims to emulate this style.
